As everyone gears up for a new school year, there are many announcements and reminders being sent out to our students. Keep reading to find a list of the most important reminders, events, and opportunities for High School students this August.
Auditions For The Fall Musical
Auditions for the cast and crew of The 2025 fall musical, SIX, is open! This is a great opportunity for all returning and new students to step back into the world of theatre Click here for all of the information about auditioning, the schedule, and open crew positions.
Create Your Future Presentation
Open to all new and returning students grades 9-12, the Create Your Future presentation will be held in the Cypress Center right before the Back To School social event. Be sure to come out and get a head start on planning the high school journey unique to you.
Musical Instrument Private Lesson Program
Sign-up for private lessons in musical instruments are now open. Fill out this form by 3:00 PM on August 15, 2025 if you are interested! If you have any questions, reach out to Private Lesson Lead Christine Wagatsuma at [email protected].
Sports Physicals and ECG/EKG Night
The Sports Physicals Night is an amazing opportunity for all of our student athletes. Available to all domestic and boarding students, Orlando Health is providing physicals for free on August 12, 2025 in the gym from 3pm-6pm. ECGs will also be provided for $20.
Keep in mind the following details:
All EL2s are valid for one (1) year post exam date
All Student-Athletes must have a valid EL2 to participate in WPS Athletics
All High Schoolers (grades 9-12) must have an ECG on file
Once completed in High School, the FHSAA requirent is fulfulled
If you have completed an ECG prior to 9th grade, another will need to be completed for High School
Senior Portraits
The deadline is approaching! All seniors need to book their studio appointment at Prestige Portraits for their senior portrait now. Click the link here to sign up.
