The GRAMMYs are an annual music award given to the best and most popular music of the year. Although this may be old news as the event occurred at the beginning of the month, I think it is still an important topic to talk about. Let’s start by talking about the performances.
- Doechii – She has good outfits and good choreo. She had lots of energy, and kept us hooked with her good vocals.
- Chappell Roan – We really liked the song choice and the entire concept of the performance. Along with the song choice the vocals were very good. We also like how she involved the crowd and got them to sing alone.
- Sabrina Carpenter – The entire concept was great. The addition of the background vocals were very funny. Her outfits were great, but her vocals could have been better according to Beau.
- Charli XCX – We liked the appearances of other celebrities. We both like the song choice and how there were multiple different songs.
- Shakira – The outfits were very pretty. No further comments, it was good!
- Raye – She didn’t really have much dancing or movement on stage, but the dress was very pretty. The vocals were very nice as well.
- Billie Eilish- Her vocals were good, and I liked the background, but we wish there was more movement and energy.
- The Weeknd – The songs were good, and the stage set was nice. The dancers gave me the heebie jeebies.
- Shaboozey – We liked the choreo, but the song is very aggravating.
- Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars – Why are they performing a cover at the Grammys? We are very confused, they have a good song they could have performed.
- Benson Boone – This song makes us both very aggravated. His outfit was making us very uncomfortable.
- Teddy Swims – There was nothing going on with the entire performance.
Now onto the awards, I was pleased with Beyonce finally winning her first Album of the Year award. I do believe that Renaissance and some of her other albums were better than Cowboy Carter, but, contrary to popular belief, she deserved this award. Additionally, we enjoyed that other artists like Charli XCX, Sabrina Carpenter, Doechii, and Chappell Roan were all able to get their first awards. However, one could argue that Billie Eilish was snubbed, but personally we believe that she has enough GRAMMYs from her last few albums that she needed to let other people have an opportunity to shine.
